Terms & Conditions

The following Terms & Conditions apply to all direct purchases you make from www.international-baby-shop.com and you should read them carefully.  We may vary these terms from time to time and you should therefore check them before you make a new purchase.

1. Payment
The International Baby Shop welcomes payment via Paypal, a safe and easy means of transferring money over the Internet.  You do not need to have your own Paypal account to make a payment, just follow the guidelines given. 

2. Acceptance of order
We will acknowledge your order shortly after we receive it.

3. Cancellation, refunds and exchanges
You have a statutory right to cancel your order within 8 working days from the date of delivery and receive a full refund for any item purchased from our website provided it is not personalised or hand-made. 

4. Refunds and exchanges
We want you to be happy with everything you buy from The International Baby Shop.  If you are not satisfied with your new purchase, we refund any unused item provided it is returned to our partner supplier in a saleable condition, in its original, undamaged packaging and within 30 days from receipt of goods.  Exceptions apply to products that are made to order (i.e personalised or hand-made) and, for hygiene and safety reasons, on clothing.   Please contact us at info@internationalbabyshop.com prior to returning any item.

Please also note that the product is your responsibility until it has reached our partner supplier so do ensure adequate postage and insurance.  If we find that the product has not been returned in a resalable condition, we reserve the right to refuse a refund.  We will refund your original delivery charge when a product is faulty or damaged, but not when a product is simply unwanted. 

Defective Products
If you believe any of our products to be of an unsatisfactory quality please contact us via e-mail: info@internationalbabyshop.com

Products that are received damaged or faulty will be replaced or refunded including post and packaging costs.  Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights in the unlikely event that the goods do not meet a standard required by law.

5. Prices
All prices are correct at the point of purchase.  Previously viewed prices via cookies on your computer may be incorrect.  The International Baby Shop reserves the right to change and amend prices at any time.  Please note that there may be slight price fluctuations caused by currency conversion calculations.

6. Feedback
If you have any comments about any of the products or services supplied or provided to you, please write to us on info@internationalbabyshop.com.

7. Descriptions
To the best of our knowledge, the product descriptions on the site are accurate and up-to-date, but we are continually working to improve our products and so specifications or design changes may be made from time to time which have not been reflected on the site.  We include images of products on our site to help you with your selection.  However, slight variations, for example in colour, should be expected, especially with hand-made products.  All measurements and weights are approximate.

All orders are subject to availability.  Nothing in these terms and conditions affects your statutory rights.

8. Delivery
The terms of delivery vary from one product category to the next as this depends on the country in which our relevant partner supplier is based.  Generally, hand- made and personalised products will be made to your order specifications.  You should expect this to take a week after receipt of your payment plus a few additional days for postage.  Exceptions are wallhangings which take 4-6 weeks to create and personalised books which may take 4 weeks before they arrive at your home.

Products purchased via our affiliate partners are subject to their stated delivery terms.

9. Privacy policy
We take your privacy very seriously and will treat all of your personal information in accordance with all applicable data protection laws in The Netherlands.
