You don't want to wake in the middle of the night hearing the panicky screams of your child because she's fallen out of bed and wakes up hurt and disoriented!   So you should definitely fix a bed guard to her bed as she learns to sleep in a 'big' bed rather than her baby cot - especially when you're travelling and she's not in her familiar surroundings! 

The BabyDan foldable travel bed guard is compact but strong (made of tubular steel) and fits on both slatted and solid bed bases.  Fixing the guard to your bed is easy, you simply follow the instructions provided.  There are adjustable straps which slide underneath the mattress and fastened at the other side of the rail for optimal safety.

One of the best things about it, though, is the fact that it can be folded down when not in use, for instance when you're sitting on the bed reading her favourite night-time book to her!  The locking mechanisms are stong and child-safe, with an easy-release mechanism for parents to use.  Another bonus of this product is that it folds away neatly into a 10 x 20cm box, so go ahead, take it on holiday with you!

Please note that the BabyDan foldable travel bed guard is designed to fit a matress thickness, widths and length of 13 - 20cm, 70 - 120cm and 152 - 210cm respectively.  It is suitable for all beds apart from upper bunk beds or cots.
